Grand Opening!! and so much more

Okay, lots to talk about. First of all thank you to everyone who gave advice for potty training. Emma sat on the potty a lot yesterday all at her request. However, she never actually used the potty. But right after we got off and put the diaper on she'd go so we're getting there. She's asking at the right time but I think she's still just a bit afraid to go on the potty. I'll just keep taking her when she asks, but not push it.

Now then, Sunday is DigiByDesign's Grand Opening!!!

Amy -= first thanks for the add-on. Second - I *forgot* about the "sit on all day, get off, then go" potty training bit. Yep, remember it well. Sounds like she's getting comfy with the idea of the toilet - so that's a good thing! :-)

Thank you so much for this fun page!
    Love it!
Can you stand anymore potty training advice? This worked for both my kids... We had a "potty pop", as long as they were on the potty, they were allowed to suck on the sucker (lollipop) of their choice. The goal obviously was to keep them on as long as possible hoping that either by chance or choice they would "make potty". At times they were interested, other times not so much. Once they finally "made potty" we did the potty dance, sang the potty song, called granparents, made the biggest deal ever. When I felt they were ready (which did not take long) we gathered all diapers and together walked them out to the trash, said goodbye to them...and never looked back. Never put a diaper on again! I had been told not to even use a diaper at night as it would be confusing for them....(use the potty during the day, but you don't have to at night) Anyways, this worked great for both my kids, begining to end took less than a week.(my oldest was potty trained by 2, my youngest within a few weeks after turning 2) A few accidents here and there but nothing like I expected. I don't know if I was just very lucky, or if the methods of my madness really worked. Keep in mind all little ones move at their own pace, when you feel the time is right give it a shot, if it doesn't work, wait a bit and try again. I would just encourage her to try to "make potty" before and after naps, before bath etc...eventually you too will be doing the potty dance & singing the potty song!! Good Luck and as frustrating as it may seem at times, enjoy each and every moment, she will be grown before you know it!
    Hope this helps...Heidi
