Okay, to start off with let me say this weekend shopping was an adventure. It was the tax free weekend for back to school shopping in my town. So clothes & school supplies were tax free Fri-Sun. That meant that kids and parents were out enforce fighting over the last top in a certain size or the last backpack with High School Musical on it. Luckily my kid had easier needs like large washable crayons and toddler size clothes so there was no fighting but since I didn't venture out until Sunday afternoon the pickings were still a bit slim. I know you were laughing at my kid's preschool having a dress code but it's a preschool-12th grade private school and they enforce the same dress code for everyone. Plus Miss Emma just went thru another growth spurt so some clothes that still had room a month or two ago look like they're painted on her now. She's HUGE! I'm talking 5T-6x size clothes for my 2 y/o! (Yes, I know 3 is approaching but we're not there yet!)
She needs to catch onto this potty training thing quick too or I won't be able to find diapers that fit her anymore.
Church yesterday was fun too! We had our first service in the chapel rather than the church itself and it gave us a more intimate feeling of togetherness. (I go to the early service and there aren't a lot of us, so the smaller space is a better fit.) Plus one of our members had family in town and they're a Christian rock band so they preformed a few songs for us too! They were awesome! (Especially since she sang while holding her grumpy 1 y/o on her hip and playing a tambourine- impressive.) Also one of the other moms gave me a cool book for Emma and I. It's a year of devotionals for preschoolers. Every day has a small story with cute illustration, followed by a scripture quote and prayer all the perfect size for a preschooler to say and understand. I love it! Emma loves looking at the pictures last night and even said her full prayers for once without being distracted!
I've been working on some new templates and if I find the time this week I'll be sahring some with you all but knowing how busy I am you might have to wait until next week. We'll just have to play it by ear.
I found a cool site for finding freebies. This lady has set up her computer to search out freebies and automatically post them to her blog, how cool is that? You can find here list, with previews here at
